Sarah is calling…
I really like my private time with Sarah. It’s the reflection, the conversation, it brings up things I haven’t thought about in years. It’s so much fun, and I look forward to our weekly calls.

The Summer I Traveled Alone

Backpacking across Europe, summer of 1972.

When I was 20, I was supposed to go to Europe with a girl from school, but her parents stopped her two weeks before the trip. I’d worked so hard to save up for the trip, so I decided to go by myself! My parents weren’t happy about it, but I was determined.

In Switzerland I got off at a village because I liked how it looked from the window. I didn’t have a plan. I walked up above the town until I could see the whole valley. I sat down with my bread and cheese and stayed up there most of the afternoon. I’d been so nervous when I left home, and in that moment, I felt an immense sense of pride and independence.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sarah a real person?

No. Sarah is an AI biographer who conducts guided phone conversations. She listens to what the storyteller says, asks follow-up questions, and lets each conversation develop from their answers rather than working through a fixed script.

Do they need a smartphone or an app?

No. Sarah calls the phone they already use. Scheduling and reminders happen by text, with nothing to download or learn.

What does my family actually get?

A growing, lasting collection of your loved one's life stories, preserved in their own words. Over time, it becomes a rich family keepsake you can revisit, share across generations, and hold onto long after a conversation ends. You will have access to all the stories even if you cancel your subscription.

Can they call Sarah?

Yes. Sarah usually calls on the schedule you set up together, so your loved one never has to remember to reach out. But they don't have to wait for her, either. If a memory comes to mind or they simply feel like talking, they can call Sarah anytime and start a conversation of their own.

Can I cancel anytime?

You can cancel anytime. Calls continue through the end of the paid period. The stories your family has already captured remain yours to keep and access.
